Aunque “CODA” ganó los premios a la mejor película, guión y actor de reparto, fue “Dune” y Will Smith quienes se robaron el espectáculo en la edición 94 de los Premios de la Academia.
Completo con los protocolos COVID para la experiencia en persona, los premios se llevaron a cabo, aunque con nuevas reglas controvertidas sobre el anuncio previo al espectáculo de ocho categorías, en el Dolby Theatre de Hollywood este año.
En general, los nominados fueron liderados este año por Netflix “The Power of the Dog” con 12 nominaciones. Sus mejores competidores cinematográficos son “King Richard,” “CODA,” “Drive My Car,” “Nightmare Alley,” “West Side Story,” “Belfast,” “Don’t Look Up,” “Licorice Pizza” y “Dune.”
